Project Background:

A mineral processing plant in Australia aimed to enhance the comprehensive recovery rate of coastal sand minerals (including ilmenite, zircon, and rutile) by adopting an environmentally friendly beneficiation process.

Coastal Sand  Processing Line

Solution:

We designed a specialized coastal sand processing line for the client. This line consists of a Trommel Screen, Spiral Chute, Shaking Table, Magnetic Separator, and High-Tension Electrostatic Separator. The trommel screen efficiently removes oversized materials, while the spiral chute pre-concentrates heavy minerals using gravity and centrifugal forces. The shaking table further refines the concentrate. The dry magnetic separator extracts magnetic minerals like ilmenite, and finally, the High-Tension Electrostatic Separator separates non-magnetic minerals. The entire physical separation process avoids chemical usage, ensuring zero pollutant emissions and minimizing environmental impact.

Key Results:

Overall mineral recovery rate increased by 20% through the multi-stage gravity separation process.

Daily processing capacity increased by 43%, and operational costs reduced by 15%.

Zero pollutant discharge during the process, leading to a 95% reduction in environmental costs.
